ALS Untangled reviewed the Eric is Winning regimen and found no preclinical or clinical evidence supporting its use. The review said there was no convincing evidence that the regimen slowed, stopped or reversed ALS progression.

Why this matters

The findings do not support using this complicated, expensive and potentially risky regimen as an ALS treatment. They also do not establish that the regimen benefits people with ALS.

Limitations and context

This is an expert review from ALS Untangled, not a clinical trial or new primary research study. The review noted that the individual discussed had very slow ALS progression before starting the regimen, making it difficult to attribute his course to the treatment.
