What it means
Agreed more recently and deliberately simpler than El Escorial, with fewer categories. The aim was to reduce the time somebody spends in an uncertain classification.
Why you might hear it
- Newer trials increasingly use these instead.
- Your clinic may refer to them when explaining a diagnosis.
