An ALS-specific guide that treats changing the home as fall prevention, and names clearing clutter, removing trip hazards like throw rugs, fitting grab bars, and having railings that run the full length of the stairs. It gives no measure of how much difference this makes, and it does not mention lighting.
It is important to make modifications that will minimize your risk of falling, as falls can lead to injuries.
