Celebrating 10 years of our Non-Clinical Fellowships: looking to the present!
Dr Ross Byrne’s current fellowship at Trinity College Dublin is investigating genetic factors linked to cognitive symptoms in motor neurone disease (MND). The work is also examining whether some genetic factors are shared with MND itself, while others relate mainly to motor symptoms. The project is intended to improve understanding of these symptoms and may inform future research into early detection and treatments, but it has not produced such strategies yet.
