A systematic review and meta-analysis of 40 studies identified clinical, genetic and neuropathologic factors associated with limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy neuropathologic change (LATE-NC). LATE-NC was associated with dementia, Alzheimer disease, mild cognitive impairment, several other brain changes, and the APOE ε4 and GRN genetic variants.
